Ottawa
is beautiful. We host the
most festivals of any city:
experience the tulip festival
in the spring, the beer and
rib festival in the summer
and our famous Winterlude
festival in February, along
with more than 12 other festivals
in between! Ottawa has extensive
National Parks land for biking
and walking all year round,
and the longest skating rink
in the world (the frozen
Rideau Canal). Come and discover
our fabulous restaurants
and night life found in quaint
corners all over the city,
all within easy walking distance
of McGee’s Inn.
Biking:
Biking is one of the favorite sports of Ottawa. Whether you bike on the Ottawa River, the Canal or through some of the historic areas of Ottawa, you are sure to have a great time. On Sunday the Airport Parkway, the River Parkway and Colonel By Drive are closed to traffic and used for outdoor activities such as biking. You can also mountain bike on many of the various bike trails in the Gatineau Hills. Follow this link for renting bicycles or bring your own (don't forget a lock and helmet).
