Christmas
Craft Sale and English Cream
Tea
Noon to 5pm - November 18th,
2007:
Join us once again for our
2nd annual Christmas Craft
Sale and English
Cream Tea. It costs just $5 per person for a steaming pot of
traditional Earl Grey tea and a plate of fabulous fresh scones, english clotted
cream, home-made jams and desserts. We also have great artists and
crafters this year who have brought their fabulous collections. New this
year, we will be having a ‘gently used’ furniture sale in our Annexe
Room
just off Daly Ave.
The proceeds from the tea
and furniture sale go to
the Élisabeth
Bruyère Health Centre in memory of our dear friend Dominique Koch who
lost
her battle with cancer in February 2006.
Tea for Seniors
Every
Tuesday and Wednesday morning
This spring we started our
latest event: to host tea
time for senior citizens
from the various seniors
residences throughout the
city of Ottawa. Each week
different groups come to
McGee’s Inn to enjoy
tea and biscuits (sandwiches
and treats too!). It is a
great opportunity for these
seniors to get out and about
and is also a wonderful chance
for them to meet new people
they may otherwise never
had the opportunity to chat
with.
If you would like to participate
in “Tea for Seniors”,
call us at 613-237-6089 and
ask for Sarah or Judy. We
will be delighted to send
you the registration form
and menu choices.

for the entire weekend. At
McGee’s Inn, we will
have our doors open from

you to a tour of our Inn
and an opportunity to ask
us about the history and
design of the house.

November
4th, 2006 – Christmas
Craft Sale and English
Tea
Last November we organized
our first annual Christmas
Craft Sale where local Ottawa
artists and artisans came
to showcase their collections
and beautiful works of art.
We also served “High
Tea” at the top of
every hour. We offered classic
teas, biscuits, home baked
cookies and treats all served
in the traditional English
manner on china tiered cake
plates and silverware. The
tea cost $5 per person and
all the proceeds went to
the Bruyere Hospital in Ottawa
in memory of our dear friend
Dominique Koch who lost her
long fight with cancer in
February of 2006. We hope
to make this an annual event. |
